White Star Line Buttons From A Titanic Survivor

White Star Line Buttons From A Titanic Survivor

Labeled tunic buttons and mounted by third class survivor Frank Goldsmith. His odyssey as a little boy emigrating with his mother, father and two friends from the town of Strood Kent on the Medway epitomizes what passengers in the Titanic disaster endured and the aftermath. Only Frank and his mother survived and he spent much time looking for other Titanic survivors and introducing them to The Titanic Historical Society so their histories would be preserved as his is revered. When Mr Goldsmith died his ashes were scattered by the International Ice Patrol over Titanic’s grave so that he could join his father. His detailed autobiography titled “Titanic Eyewitness My Story” by someone who was there is a wonderful read and is the only one by a third class passenger.
